The “Psychological Counseling” study program provides for a 2-year postgraduate program after which graduates receive a specialization in “Clinical Psychology and Trauma Psychotherapy” with the opportunity to take additional specializations starting from the 2nd year of study – “Clinical Psychology and Psychotherapy of Children and Adolescents” / “Clinical Psychology and Family Therapy”.

After completing the second year, students may continue sequentially in the “Clinical Supervision” and “Teaching Psychological Counseling and Trauma Psychotherapy” programs.

Program goals:
Train psychotherapists:
– provide community mental health services, including for people traumatized by war, children, and families, based on research and American standards for psychotherapeutic care;
– apply knowledge and skills in professional ethics, developmental psychology and personality development, group psychotherapy, addiction work, psychotherapy theory, and research in clinical practice;
– diagnose emotional and mental disorders and develop psychotherapy treatment plans based on ICD-10, ICD-11, and DSM-5;
– provide clinical supervision to psychotherapists studying in the program and practicing in Ukraine’s mental health field.
The program is designed to provide education in psychotherapy. Completing it qualifies graduates for independent professional practice in individual and group psychotherapy and psychological counseling in accordance with Ukrainian law.

The cost of training in the “Psychological Counseling” program is $ 4,000 per year.
